CONSULTING FOR RETAILERS

Competitors don't take your customers with a lower price. They take them with a better system.

Retail has changed at its core in recent years. E-commerce, a fully open market and the years since the pandemic have turned shopping habits upside down. Supply is enormous, demand has levelled off – only narrow specialisation or taking customers from competitors is still growing.

RETAIL OPERATIONS

Today, the customer relationship decides – not just the offer

It used to be enough to rent a space, fill it with stock and hire a salesperson. That's no longer enough. A well-organised shop, a clear offer and quality service at every step have become a condition for growth – not an advantage. As external consultants, we help you build a system that keeps working even when you're not there.

A business system for your shop

Without a written system, every decision gets made from scratch. We put together a handbook covering purchasing, goods intake, overall look and feel, labelling and product placement – written once, useful every day.

Rules for shops and staff

Where rules aren't written down, everyone interprets them their own way. We set up written guidelines that staff and managers understand the same way – from day one.

Hands-on help with day-to-day work

We work alongside you as external consultants on organising the shop – placing, arranging and labelling goods, decoration – until the system runs on its own, without you having to watch over it constantly.

Oversight of shop performance

An outside eye spots what's easy to miss from the inside. We find gaps and issues before your customers do.

Improvements & fixing what's not working

We put years of hands-on experience to work on concrete fixes to your operations and staff-customer relations – not generic advice you can find anywhere.

POSITIONING

Shelf placement and labelling

Product positioning comes down to one question: how do you sell as much as possible, as fast as possible, in the smallest possible sales area? Full, overstuffed shelves aren't the answer. Narrow aisles created by cramming in as many shelves and stands as possible push customers away rather than draw them in.

Research shows the opposite works: fewer product types per shelf, wider aisles and more feature displays significantly increase sales. Customers linger longer in a well-organised shop, notice more, and remember they need something else. So they buy more.

  • Active control over item sales, adapted to customer needs
  • Offer, equipment and product layout matched to actual shopping behaviour
  • Better stock control and a clear placement plan for each individual store

of goods sell purely because they're clearly displayed and the customer noticed them.
